May FPGA HDL Ximulation replace simulator?

Answer

  • No, simulator is still necessary during the logic design, specially for preliminary functional test and  timing simulation.
  • HDL Ximulation is used for FPGA debug. User won’t have to probe the signals to FPGA IOs and will be observe the those signals by HDL Ximulation.
